VELO in Hyderabad: why one can costs ₹999 and another ₹2,999

VELO cans on our shelf sit at six prices: ₹999, ₹1,099, ₹1,199, ₹1,399, ₹1,499 and ₹2,999. Strength explains most of that spread, the Shift line and a handful of individual cans explain some more, and two McLaren limited editions explain the top. All 32 VELO cans are sold out at present and come back in batches without set dates, so this guide also prices VELO against the CLEW and ZYN cans you can order in Hyderabad today.

The six tiers

Prices as of 19 October 2026, taken from our catalogue. The same prices apply wherever we deliver in India.

What strength explains

Read the first two rows together and a rule appears: up to 7mg costs ₹999, and 8mg to 10mg costs ₹1,099. Every Light VELO (1.5mg to 6mg on our scale) is in the cheapest tier, along with the one 7mg can. Above 10mg, most cans move up to ₹1,399 or ₹1,499.

So if you're budgeting by band, expect roughly ₹999 for a Light VELO, ₹1,099 for most of Medium (7mg to 12mg), and ₹1,399 to ₹1,499 for most of Strong (13mg to 20mg). The 11mg cans are the expensive corner of Medium, all at ₹1,499.

What strength doesn't explain

Four cans break the pattern, and they're worth knowing because they change where the value sits:

• Crispy Peppermint 17mg is ₹1,199. That's less than every 11mg and 14mg can, and it's the strongest VELO we list.
• Freezing Peppermint 14mg is ₹1,399, while the same flavour costs ₹1,499 at both 11mg and 17mg. The middle step is the cheapest one.
• Icy Cherry 8mg is ₹1,499, ₹400 above Blue Raspberry and Icy Berries at the same strength.
• The Shift line is ₹1,199 at 8mg, ₹100 above most 8mg core cans.

We don't publish the reasons behind any single can's price, and we won't invent them here. The practical point is simpler: a bigger number on the lid doesn't always mean a bigger price, so check the product page before you assume.

Limited editions, and what they mean for getting one

Two VELO cans on our shelf are McLaren limited editions:

• McLaren Sweet Papaya 8mg, ₹2,999. Our page describes soft, tropical, lightly perfumed papaya with a clean finish. At 8mg it's an everyday strength, at a little under three times the price of a core 8mg can.
• McLaren Limited Edition 2024 11mg, ₹1,499. Priced like the other 11mg cans. We don't have VELO's official flavour notes for it, and the page says so rather than guessing.

"Limited edition" is a statement about availability more than taste. VELO's limited cans come and go, and our 2024 page calls that one a collector's can from a run that won't be restocked forever. Core VELO cans come back batch after batch; a limited edition may not come back at all once its run is gone. If you want one as a keepsake or a gift, buy it when you see it in stock. If you're after a daily can, the core range gives you more for the money.

VELO per pouch, against what's in stock

Per-pouch maths needs the count inside the can. ZYN cans hold 15 pouches. Where our VELO copy states a count, it's 20; Zesty Elderflower's page says so. The figures below assume 15 for ZYN and 20 for every other can. Check the can you buy, and divide by its own number if it differs.

Since CLEW's price cut on 19 October, VELO works out roughly ₹5 to ₹30 a pouch dearer than CLEW at the same band, and about ₹17 a pouch cheaper than ZYN at the light end. That's arithmetic, not advice to switch: if a VELO flavour is the one you enjoy, a lower per-pouch figure elsewhere doesn't change that. The can discounts still apply

When VELO is back, it counts toward the same ladder as everything else: free delivery from 3 cans, 5% off at 5, 10% at 10, 15% at 25 and 20% at 50. Cans from different brands count together in one order; bundles and merch don't count. As an example, two ₹999 cans and three ₹1,099 cans come to ₹5,295, or about ₹5,030 once the 5% is taken off. Adding in-stock CLEW to a VELO order counts the same way.

Ordering to Hyderabad

Whether you're in Hitec City, Gachibowli or Kondapur, or over in Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills or Secunderabad, most Hyderabad pincodes are covered. Checkout reads your pincode, confirms we deliver and shows the expected date, all before you pay. Pay by UPI up front, or choose cash on delivery and pay the rider in cash or by UPI; paying at the door costs nothing extra. The box is plain with the invoice inside, and the collector must be an adult who shows ID to the rider. How much is VELO in Hyderabad?

The same as anywhere we deliver: ₹999 to ₹1,499 for the core range and ₹2,999 for the McLaren Sweet Papaya, as of 19 October 2026. Every VELO can is sold out for now.

Why does the McLaren Sweet Papaya cost ₹2,999?

It's a limited edition, priced well above the core range. Its strength, 8mg, is an ordinary everyday one.

Is the strongest VELO also the dearest?

No. Crispy Peppermint 17mg is ₹1,199, cheaper than every 11mg and 14mg VELO we list.

Is VELO cheaper per pouch than CLEW?

Not since 19 October. At the same band, CLEW now costs roughly ₹5 to ₹30 less per pouch.

Can I pay by UPI at the door in Gachibowli?

Yes. Choose cash on delivery and pay the rider by UPI or in cash.
