All five sit in our Strong band, 13mg to 20mg. None reaches Extra strong, which starts above 20mg. Four of the five are mint; Breezy Mango is the only fruit VELO at this level. The cheapest of them is also the strongest: Crispy Peppermint 17mg, at ₹1,199.

The step below: VELO at 11mg

If 14mg feels like a leap, VELO's 11mg cans sit at the top of Medium: Peppermint Storm, Freezing Peppermint 11mg, Orange Spark and the McLaren 2024 edition, all ₹1,499. From there, Freezing Peppermint climbs to 14mg in a step of about a quarter. Crispy Peppermint has no such middle rung: its 10mg goes straight to 17mg. Cautions, in the spirit of our product pages

• Read the mg, not the name. "Freezing" describes the cold, not the strength, and Bright Spearmint comes at both 4mg and 14mg.
• Don't start here. Not as a first pouch, and not as a first VELO if you've only used other brands at Light strengths.
• Climb one band at a time. Going from a 6mg can to 17mg skips the entire Medium band.
• One pouch at a time. Strong cans aren't for doubling up.
• A new brand at a similar mg can feel different. VELO's pouch tends to be moist and CLEW's is slim, so a CLEW at 15mg won't feel identical to a VELO at 14mg.
• Store them out of children's reach, and don't pass them to friends who use lighter cans.

Strong cans in stock today

CLEW is the Strong band that ships today: eight flavours at 15mg (₹999) and 20mg (₹1,099). CLEW 20mg is stronger than any VELO we list, so for a VELO user the 15mg is the usual match, and 20mg is only for someone who already knows they want more.

From 17mg, CLEW 15mg is a small step down and CLEW 20mg a small step up. Start at 15mg: the difference is easier to live with in that direction, and you can move up later. CLEW Menthol is "pure cool", with no sweetness, which makes it the nearest in-stock idea to Freezing Peppermint's cold, though menthol and peppermint taste different.
